Seht, wer sitzt denn dort im Gras!
Ist das nicht der Osterhas?
Guckt mit seinem langen Ohr
aus dem grünen Nest hervor.
Hüpft mit seinem schnellen Bein’
über Stock und über Stein.
Seht auch her, was in dem Nest
liegt so rund und auch so fest:
Eier, blau und rot gefleckt,
hat er in dem Nest versteckt.
Muß er sie gut verstecken,
sucht schnell in allen Ecken.
Osterhas, Osterhas!
Im grünen, grünen Gras,
unter Busch und Hecken
müssen Eier stecken.
Suchen wir, suchen wir
einmal dort, einmal hier.
